McConnell

Craig McConnell is a Canadian film and television composer, record producer, and songwriter.

McConnell produced and co-wrote “The Chase” for Celine Dion’s album Courage (2019). He also produced and co-wrote “Carnival Hearts” (Top 20 Billboard CHR) and “What You’re Made Of” (Top 10 Billboard Hot AC) for Canadian artist Kayla Diamond (Cadence/Universal). His extensive songwriting and production work for RuPaul’s Drag Race Canada winner Priyanka, including the breakout single “Come Through,” has garnered more than 20 million streams. Other artist collaborations include Keshia Chanté (Tanjola/Universal), Crystal Kay (Epic/Sony Japan), Jane Zhang (Sony Music China), CHEMISTRY (DefStar/Sony), and Juno Award winner Divine Brown.

In the video-game world, McConnell wrote and produced the theme song for CAPCOM’s 2023 release of Resident Evil 4.

His film-scoring credits include Irvine Welsh’s Ecstasy (from the author of Trainspotting), along with dozens of TV movies for Hallmark, Lifetime, and the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN). For episodic television, he has composed songs and score for the Nickelodeon series Bossy Bear, Life With Boys, Max and Shred, and Star Falls. In the Reality/Factual genre, he has provided score for series such as Property Brothers and American Pickers.
